PNC Condemns Israeli Actions in Gaza as Genocide Escalation

Gaza: Chairman and Speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Rawhi Fattouh has condemned the massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia, northern Gaza, where over 45 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed, and hundreds remain trapped under rubble. Fattouh stated that this incident marks a significant escalation in what he describes as Israel's policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing.

According to Qatar News Agency, a statement issued by the PNC on Wednesday highlighted the alarming nature of these attacks, which targeted children and women with warplanes, bombed hospitals, and resulted in the killing of more than 100 Palestinians within a 24-hour period. This occurred amid a suffocating siege and the absence of adequate healthcare, actions which Fattouh categorizes as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Fattouh has emphasized the urgent requirement for a practical response from the international community and the United Nations (UN) to halt the violent aggression against the defenseless population in Gaza. He calls for the provision of international protection to prevent further acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing and urges immediate and effective measures to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable.
