Doha: Police defeated today Al Khor in straight sets in the second round of the Qatar Volleyball League for men. All matches are being held at the Qatar Volleyball Association hall, with 10 clubs participating.
According to Qatar News Agency, Police secured the victory with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-18, bringing their total to 24 points and placing them fourth in the standings. Al Khor remain at 11 points, holding seventh place.
The Police team's victory came after their return from Tunisia, where they secured their first title in the 44th Arab Men's Volleyball Club Championship.
With the same score, Qatar SC defeated Al Shamal, with set scores of (25-18), (25-20), and (25-21), bringing their total to 19 points and placing them fifth in the standings. Al Shamal remain at 9 points in eighth place.
The second round of matches continues on Friday with a single game between Al Ahli, currently in sixth place with 16 points, and Al Sadd, who are in tenth and last place with 2 points.
In the first round of the Women's Volleyball League, three matches will be held tomorrow: Al Rayyan vs. Al Sadd, Al Arabi vs. Al Wakrah, and Al Ahli vs. Al Khor.
