However, their advantage was short-lived as Iliman Ndiaye equalized for the home side just four minutes into the second half from a penalty kick. The draw marks Arsenal's third in their last five matches and their 11th of the season.

The stalemate leaves Arsenal in second place with 62 points, while Everton moves up to 14th with 35 points.
