Preparations Completed for 43rd Arab Men’s Clubs Volleyball Championship in Doha

Doha: The Qatar Volleyball Association announced the completion of preparations to host the 43rd Arab Men's Clubs Championship, which will start Tuesday in Doha and conclude on Jan. 26, with the participation of an elite of Arab clubs. According to Qatar News Agency, the tournament will officially kick off on Thursday with three matches between Oman's Al Salam and UAE's Bani Yas, UAE's Al Jazira and Kuwait's Burgan, and Qatar SC and Palestine's Gaza. Four matches will be held on the second day, bringing together Qatar's Al Shorta and Iraq's Arbil, Oman's Al Seeb and Egypt's Zamalek, Kuwait SC and Libya's Al Hilal, and Bahrain's Dar Kulaib and Egypt's Al Ahly. The tournament's group stage matches will continue until Jan. 20, while the quarter-final matches and the matches to determine the rankings will be played on Jan. 22, and the semi-final matches and the matches to determine the rankings will be held on Jan. 24. The tournament matches are scheduled to conclude on Jan. 25, with the final match determ ining third to eighth place. President of the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari emphasized that all preparations for hosting the tournament have been completed, welcoming the delegations participating in the major sporting event that reflects the values of fraternity and the spirit of cooperation between Arab clubs. He noted the joint commitment to developing sports and enhancing the status of volleyball in the Arab world. QVA President noted that the championship is an opportunity to exchange experiences, build distinguished sporting relationships, and enrich the spirit of fair competition, hoping that everyone will experience wonderful sporting moments befitting this great event.
