President El-Sisi Visits Bahrain to Reaffirm Solidarity Amid Regional Tensions

Egypt: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi paid a fraternal visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain to reaffirm Egypt's full solidarity with the Kingdom in light of current regional developments.

According to African Press Organization, during his visit, President El-Sisi, following a stop in Qatar, arrived in Manama where he was received by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and members of the Egyptian Embassy. The President emphasized Egypt's steadfast support for Bahrain's security and stability, condemning recent attacks against the Kingdom as violations of international law that threaten regional security.

President El-Sisi expressed Egypt's rejection of any attempts to destabilize Bahrain, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, or other Arab nations, pledging support for measures to protect their sovereignty and interests. He highlighted the integral connection between the security of Arab states and Egypt's national security, while commending Bahrain's leadership in maintaining regional stability. The President stressed the importance of resolving crises peacefully and reiterated Egypt's efforts to ease tensions.

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed gratitude for Egypt's support, acknowledging the strong ties between the two nations. He emphasized the need for continued consultation and coordination to maintain regional peace and address shared challenges. The leaders discussed strengthening joint efforts to reduce tensions and restore stability.

The visit concluded with King Hamad bidding farewell to President El-Sisi at the airport.
