Doha: HE President of the Investment and Trade Court, Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, engaged in a pivotal meeting with HE Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, at the court's headquarters. The Omani delegation's visit aimed to explore the court's framework and its advancements in the legal landscape.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting centered on the accomplishments of Qatar's Investment and Trade Court in enhancing the trade litigation environment and the range of services available to litigants. Discussions also highlighted the court's technical innovations and modern systems designed to expedite case adjudication and ensure transparency. Both parties expressed a commitment to strengthening cooperation and sharing expertise between Qatar and Oman.
HE Judge Al Obaidli emphasized the meeting's significance in understanding the operations of the Investment and Trade Court, especially following the establishment of Oman's Court of Investment and Commerce. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in fulfilling the developmental and economic aspirations of both nations.
Judge Al Obaidli further remarked that Qatar's Investment and Trade Court is a model of a specialized judicial environment that prioritizes quality and efficiency. The court utilizes e-litigation to accelerate judicial processes with cutting-edge technology, thereby supporting economic growth and enhancing investor confidence both locally and internationally.
HE Omani Minister Al Yousef praised the court's advanced infrastructure and systems, acknowledging its esteemed status as a leading judicial authority in the region.
