Manama, Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), met with Dr. Abdullah Yousef Talib, Chairman of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions (CRPEP), along with council members at the bureau's headquarters. Al Hamar reviewed the bureau's experience in collaborating with surveying offices, highlighting the positive outcomes that have led to faster transaction processing and increased customer satisfaction with the services provided. He affirmed the importance of expanding the existing public-private partnership to achieve desired objectives. The President of SLRB also emphasised the pivotal role played by the council in coordinating the work of engineering and surveying offices, ensuring their adherence to approved engineering standards. He commended the council's contribution to enriching discussions and offering constructive solutions that contribute to sector development. The meeting included an exchange of views on enhancing support for surveying offices and providing necessary facilitation to enable them to complete survey transactions in the shortest time possible. The meeting also discussed the current mechanisms and procedures employed by the bureau to regulate the relationship between the offices responsible for surveying and those responsible for auditing the quality of work. Additionally, new concepts were introduced on means to provide further support to surveying offices and develop the legal and regulatory framework governing the relationship between the bureau and these offices.
