Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Holds Phone Call with UK Foreign Secretary

Doha, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call on Saturday with HE Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom James Cleverly.

During the call, they discussed the latest developments of the situation in the Palestinian territories and Israel and ways for de-escalation.

His Excellency expressed, during the call, the State of Qatar's unwavering position in condemning all forms of targeting the civilians, adding that killing innocent civilians, especially women and children and practicing the policy of collective punishment is unacceptable under any pretext.

His Excellency affirmed the importance of opening humanitarian corridors to ensure the delivery of relief and assistance to the brotherly Palestinians, who are trapped under shelling, particularly considering the deteriorating situations in the Gaza Strip.

His Excellency underscored the significance of coordinating regional and international efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza and tirelessly work to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.

His Excellency warned of the danger of the attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from Gaza, affirming the justice of the Palestinian cause, along with the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and the right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
