New york: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The meeting centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing recent developments in the region, with a specific focus on the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. Various issues of common interest were also on the agenda.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need for increased regional and international efforts to reduce tensions in the area. He advocated for dialogue and peaceful measures as the primary means to achieve de-escalation.
