Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has opened the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11) in Doha. The conference, which runs from December 15 to 19, brings together senior officials, experts, and representatives from around the world.
According to Qatar News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies sheikhs, ministers, and senior government officials, alongside international delegates. The event is considered the largest and most significant global forum dedicated to combating corruption and promoting integrity and transparency. It gathers all 192 countries that have signed the convention, with more than 2,500 participants from governments, regional and international organizations, anti-corruption experts, as well as representatives of the private sector, civil society, and youth groups.
Hosting the conference for a second time highlights Qatar's commitment to multilateral cooperation and to strengthening principles of good governance, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
