Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Al Sheikh, during his visit to the country. The discussions were centered around strengthening cooperation between the two nations and addressing recent developments in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories, along with other mutual interests.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Prime Minister reiterated Qatar's firm support for the Palestinian cause, highlighting the nation's commitment to the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. He emphasized Qatar's adherence to international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution framework, which envisions the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
