Prime Minister of Qatar and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Developments

Amman: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met in Amman on Sunday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Ayman Safadi. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for supporting and reinforcing bilateral cooperation between the two countries, as well as developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, with the initiation of the second phase of the ceasefire deal in the Strip. They also addressed a range of matters of shared interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing the collaborative efforts between Qatar and Jordan to address regional challenges. The leaders emphasized the importance of working together to support stability and peace in the Middle East. The ongoing situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories was a significant topic of discussion, with attention on the progress and implications of the ceasefire deal. Both parties reiterated their commitment to fostering a stronger partnership and exploring new areas of cooperation for mutual benefit.
