Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a telephone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi. The discussion centered on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing regional developments, particularly efforts to bolster diplomatic coordination for de-escalation and ensuring regional stability and security.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for all involved parties to adhere to diplomacy and implement agreements outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes maintaining the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and respecting Oman's sovereignty over its territorial waters to safeguard regional security and the achievements made, as well as to promote stability.
HE Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar's full support for initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region.
