Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held discussions with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Abbas Araghchi during his visit to the country.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on cooperation relations between Qatar and Iran, exploring ways to support and enhance these ties. The leaders also addressed developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, alongside several regional and international issues of common interest.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's approval of the agreement between the United States and Iran to resume talks. These discussions are set to occur within the framework of Omani mediation, aiming for a fair, lasting, and binding agreement that would promote security, stability, and peace in the region, while opening new opportunities for regional cooperation and dialogue.
