Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE French President's Envoy to Lebanon Jean-Yves Le Drian during the envoy's visit to the country. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing the latest developments in Lebanon along with other mutual concerns.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized Lebanon's stability as a crucial element for regional stability. He called on all parties to adhere to United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and to respect Lebanon's sovereignty over its territory. His Excellency reiterated Qatar's condemnation of Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, urging the Security Council to take action to halt these violations and maintain Lebanon's stability.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted the significant role of the Quintet Group in supporting Lebanon. He assured that Qatar will continue to collaborate closely with its partners to ensure coordinated efforts aimed at protecting Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as aiding its recovery and development.
