Prime Minister Supports Launch of Qatar Nationalisation Award for Private Sector

Doha: Under the patronage of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labor (MoL) has launched the Qatar Nationalisation Award for the Private Sector. This initiative aims to support Qatar National Vision 2030 by promoting Nationalisation, empowering national talent, and recognizing leaders and innovators within the private sector.

According to Qatar News Agency, Assistant Undersecretary for Manpower Affairs in the Private Sector at MoL, Khames Mohammed Al Nuaimi, emphasized that Nationalisation is seen as a strategic path essential for shaping the future economy. The award is structured around four objectives: supporting Nationalisation to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030, honoring leaders and innovators, promoting excellence and competition among enterprises, and recognizing entities with notable Nationalisation achievements.

The award is governed by a Board of Trustees, formed under Amiri Decision No. 27, chaired by the Minister of Labour and includes representatives from various entities to ensure fairness and professionalism. The Ministry of Labour has also introduced the "Himmah" digital platform to facilitate participation, making the award accessible and equitable for all eligible participants.

The award is divided into categories for institutions and individuals, recognizing efforts in recruitment, training, talent retention, and leadership preparation. Institutions are evaluated for their recruitment and development of national cadres, while individual awards acknowledge Qatari citizens' contributions to the labor market based on job level and experience.

Eligibility for enterprise awards requires a valid commercial registration in Qatar, registration on "Kawader" and Istamer platforms, and compliance with nationalisation laws. Individual awards are for Qatari employees in the private sector, with specific criteria for leadership and competence awards.

The award focuses on attracting and developing Qatari talent, empowering women, and encouraging best practices in training and career progression. It aims to enhance job stability, improve national talent efficiency, and inspire creativity and innovation within the private sector, aligning with sustainable development goals.

The Nationalisation Award for the Private Sector is a national platform recognizing institutions supporting Qatari talent and promoting Nationalisation culture, strengthening private sector social responsibility, and empowering citizens in economic and social development.
