Australian duo Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson won the men's doubles title at the US Open, the last of the four Grand Slam tournaments this year, after defeating German duo Kevin Krawietz and Tim Poets in straight sets. The Australian duo managed to finish the first set in their favor 6/4. Despite the German duo's attempts to come back in the second set, Purcell and Thompson were able to win it in the tie-break 7/6 to claim their first title in the tournament.
