Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev engaged in a phone call to discuss the advancement of cooperation between Qatar and Azerbaijan. The dialogue focused on exploring strategies to further develop and enhance bilateral relations to serve common interests.
According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir also extended his congratulations to HE President of Chad, Lt. Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, on the anniversary of Chad's Independence Day. In a similar manner, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani sent congratulatory cables to their respective counterparts in Chad.
HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof. Additionally, he met with HE Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa bin Sultan bin Shakhboot Al-Nahyan, on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Qatar.
Furthermore, HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, received a copy of the credentials from HE Ambassador of Belgium to Qatar, Eugene Crijns. Meanwhile, Qatar has expressed its support for Australia's intent to recognize the State of Palestine and New Zealand's consideration of the same.
