Qatar and Cyprus Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call on Thursday from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos. The discussion focused on cooperation relations between the two countries, ways to support and strengthen them, and the latest developments in the region, along with several issues of common interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs assured that the State of Qatar remains committed to addressing regional developments with wisdom, consistent with its dedication to principles of good neighborliness and the enhancement of regional security and stability. His Excellency emphasized the necessity of joint regional and international endeavors to mitigate tensions and resolve conflicts through diplomatic channels.

Meanwhile, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus condemned the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base, characterizing it as a clear infringement on Qatar's sovereignty and airspace, as well as a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
