Doha: The Qatari national football team exited the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 after a 0-3 defeat to Tunisia in a Group A match held at Al Bayt Stadium on Sunday. Qatar's performance in the tournament concluded with this loss, marking their final game in the group stage.
According to Qatar News Agency, Tunisia secured their win with goals from Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane in the 16th minute, Yassine Meriah in the 62nd minute, and Mohamed Ben Ali in injury time at the 90+4 minute. Qatar managed to gain only one point in the tournament, following a 1-1 draw with Syria. They suffered losses against Palestine, with a score of 1-0, and Tunisia, finishing at the bottom of their group.
Despite their victory against Qatar, Tunisia also exited the competition. They finished in third place in the group with four points. The Syrian and Palestinian national teams, who played to a 0-0 draw in the same round, advanced to the quarter-finals with five points each, securing the top two spots in Group A.
