Doha: Al Arabi and Al Shamal emerged victorious over Al Sadd and Al Gharafa, respectively, in the second round of the 2025-2026 Qatar Basketball League season.

According to Qatar News Agency, defending champions Al Arabi secured a commanding 103-84 win against Al Sadd at Al Gharafa SC Arena. The quarter scores were (18-22, 23-21, 23-23, 39-18), with Al Arabi taking control in the final period. Bahraini international Mustafa Hussain was the standout performer, earning Player of the Match honors with 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Deng Deng Adel was the top scorer for Al Sadd with 23 points.

In another thrilling encounter, Al Shamal maintained its strong performance with a 124-116 victory over Al Gharafa after two overtime periods. The teams were locked at 91-91 at the end of regular time, with quarter scores of (16-27, 18-23, 30-26, 27-15). Al Shamal surged ahead in overtime, posting scores of (33-25). Terry Quanell Crump was named Player of the Match for Al Shamal, delivering an impressive 45 points, along with four rebounds and seven assists. Joshua Caron Lee led the scoring for Al Gharafa with 26 points.

The round commenced on Thursday with Al Wakrah defeating Qatar 80-75 and is set to conclude on Monday with a matchup between Al Rayyan and Al Ahli. Al Khor did not play this round.
