Doha:Qatar’s Cabinet has urged government ministries and institutions to align their efforts with the vision outlined by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in his address to the Shura Council. This directive comes alongside the approval of draft legislation focused on children’s rights and digital protection.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was chaired by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The Cabinet praised HH the Amir’s address, which highlighted recent national challenges, resilience, and future development priorities, emphasizing economic diversification, efficient institutions, and social solidarity.

The Cabinet also reaffirmed Qatar’s foreign policy priorities, which include collaboration with Gulf states and support for the Palestinian cause. It condemned repeated Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport, expressing full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for its security measures.

In legislative matters, the Cabinet approved draft laws on children’s rights and digital protection, as well as regulations for radiation-related activities. The draft law will be subject to public feedback before further legislative review.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved a draft decision to introduce a radiation practice code, prepared in cooperation with QatarEnergy, to ensure safety in handling radioactive sources. This draft will also be open for public consultation.

The meeting concluded with approvals of draft memorandums of understanding with Armenia and Bahrain, and discussions on issues such as government service fees, civil aviation security, and regional food security cooperation.
