Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting on Wednesday morning at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi made several announcements.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet began by extending congratulations to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Qatari people, and residents on the occasion of National Day. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the historic contributions of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and pride in Qatar's development and esteemed global position under its leadership.

The Cabinet praised HH the Amir for honoring the winners of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence (ACE) Award, emphasizing the award's impact on promoting integrity and global anti-corruption efforts. Additionally, the success of the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11) was highlighted, underlining Qatar's commitment to global transparency.

The Cabinet commended the successful hosting of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, noting the atmosphere of brotherhood and sportsmanship. Thanks were extended to all state agencies involved in organizing and securing the event.

The meeting also involved discussing and approving several draft resolutions, including amendments to the law on birth and death registration, regulations for health research, and memorandums of understanding with Russia and Portugal on tax administration and health cooperation, respectively.

Lastly, the Cabinet reviewed reports on various international cooperative efforts, including meetings within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and joint committees with Tajikistan, making necessary decisions to further these collaborations.
