Qatar Cabinet Reaffirms Readiness and Condemns Iranian Attacks

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan, where the Cabinet addressed recent Iranian attacks on Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet commended the decisive actions of Qatar Armed Forces, led by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in successfully countering the Iranian attacks. The meeting highlighted the forces' readiness, security vigilance, and the joint coordination between concerned authorities, which ensured the protection of Qatar's security and addressed external threats.

The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Interior and relevant state agencies for their efforts in maintaining public safety and monitoring developments. The Cabinet condemned the Iranian attacks as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and security, emphasizing that Qatar reserves the right to respond in accordance with international law.

The Cabinet also condemned Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan, affirming solidarity with these countries. Thanks were extended to nations that showed solidarity with Qatar against the attacks.

Briefings from HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and HE Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani assured the Cabinet of the readiness and effectiveness of Qatar's defense and security systems.

The Cabinet reviewed briefings on the readiness of vital sectors, including food security, energy, health, education, transportation, environment, and cybersecurity. The availability of strategic stock and the stability of supply chains were confirmed, ensuring the country's needs are met amid ongoing threats.
