The State of Qatar chaired the 33rd annual meeting of Directors-General of Civil Defense of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, which was held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The meeting, chaired by Director General of Civil Defense Maj. Gen. Hamad Othman Al Duhaimi, discussed ways to benefit from the experiences of member states in operating private firefighting teams, as well as the latest equipment and technologies used in high-rise building fires, the risks associated with climate change and other topics on the agenda.
