Doha: Qatar Chamber held a coordination meeting with the International Organisation of Employers (IOE) to discuss preparations for the Private Sector Forum, which will be part of the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha from November 4 to 6, 2025. The meeting was co-chaired by Advisor to the Chairman of Qatar Chamber for Labour Affairs, Eng. Nasser Al Meer, and Secretary-General of the IOE, Roberto Suarez Santos.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting included notable attendees such as Governance Officer at the IOE, Mohira Kurbanova; Director of the Business Committees and Councils Affairs Department at Qatar Chamber, Hamad Ali Al Marri; and Director of the Member Affairs Department at Qatar Chamber, Al Anoud Al Mohannadi. Participants discussed the themes and issues for the Private Sector Forum, focusing on aligning topics with the summit's agenda, including artificial intelligence, the circular economy, and training and supporting innovators entering the business world.
Roberto Santos acknowledged Qatar's significant progress in social development, describing it as an inspiring model for many countries globally.
