Qatar Chamber and PalTrade Explore New Avenues for Economic Collaboration

Doha: Qatar Chamber discussed with Palestinian Trade Center (PalTrade), ways to enhance cooperation and expand economic and investment relations between Qatar and Palestine. This came during a meeting held on Sunday between First Vice Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, and CEO of the Palestinian Trade Center (PalTrade), Ruwa Jabr, and the accompanying delegation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting addressed the role of Qatar Chamber and PalTrade in enhancing cooperation between the business sectors in the two countries. In his remarks, Mohamed bin Twar affirmed Qatar Chamber's readiness to support initiatives aimed at strengthening commercial relations with Palestine, and to assist Palestinian companies seeking to invest in the Qatari market across various economic sectors.

In turn, Jabr said that she headed a delegation comprising several Palestinian companies participating in the Web Summit, noting that these companies operate in the information technology and advanced technology sectors. She emphasized PalTrade's aspiration to enhance cooperation with Qatar Chamber in the commercial and investment fields, and to organize joint business meetings between Qatari and Palestinian entrepreneurs, in a manner that contributes to expanding bilateral trade and investment relations.

The Palestinian Trade Center (PalTrade) was established in 1998 as a non-profit organization dedicated to leading export development as a driver of sustainable economic growth. PalTrade works to enhance trade competitiveness and support Palestinian companies by assessing their export readiness, building export capacity, and identifying new export markets.
