First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari called on Uzbekistan's companies to invest in Qatar, stressing that Qatari businessmen are eager to invest in Uzbekistan, which is seen as an attractive destination and promising market in the region. This came in his speech at the Qatar-Uzbekistan Business Forum which was held in Tashkent. The Forum addressed the relations between the two countries in economic and commercial areas, the investment climate and opportunities, means to enhance cooperation between the business sectors of both sides, and the role of the private sector in developing bilateral trade. On the sidelines of the forum, a number of agreements between several Qatari and Uzbek companies were signed to strengthen cooperation. In his remarks, Mohamed bin Twar emphasized the strong relations between Qatar and Uzbekistan, which represent a solid foundation for cooperation and partnership between the private sectors of both sides, pointing to the mutual visits between the two cou ntries at the level of leaders, which reflect the strong relations and the common keenness to develop them in various fields. He added that Uzbekistan is one of the fastest growing economies in the region, noting that Qatar Chamber believes that there are great opportunities for cooperation in many sectors, including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and modern technology. He underscored the Chambers support for enhancing cooperation between Qatari companies and their Uzbek counterparts by forming commercial partnerships and alliances, aiming to develop trade exchange between the two friendly countries, calling on Uzbek companies to invest in Qatar which enjoys attractive business environment, world-class infrastructure, and leading legislation. Mohamed bin Twar stressed the Chambers readiness to assist Uzbek investors looking to enter the Qatari market, and provide them with the necessary information about establishing businesses in Qatar, and the procedures and legislation related to foreign capital. I n another context, First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari met with HE Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov. Discussions during the meeting focused on means to boost cooperation between the two countries in the economic and industrial fields, and ways to promote joint investments. QC Vice-Chairman also met with HE Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Shermatov Sherzod Xotamovich. During the meeting, both sides reviewed cooperation opportunities in the digitalization and modern technology sectors. He also paid a field tour to most prominent real estate development projects in Tashkent. During field tours in Samarkand and Bukhara, QC Vice-Chairman met with HE Deputy Governor of Samarkand region Oybek Nematov, and HE Governor of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov. The meetings discussed means of boosting cooperation between the two sides.
