Qatar Chamber Chairperson Commends Federation of GCC Chambers for Strengthening Gulf Private Sector Cooperation

Doha: Chairperson of Qatar Chamber (QC), HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani, commended the efforts of the Federation of GCC Chambers during its current term, highlighting its active role in advancing cooperation among the Gulf private sector. He emphasized the federation's contributions at both regional and international levels during his meeting with Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Secretary General of the Federation of GCC Chambers, at the QC's headquarters on Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, Ali Saeed Bu Sharbak Al Mansori, and QC's Director of International Relations and Chamber Affairs and Secretary General of International Chamber of Commerce Qatar (ICC QATAR), HE Sheikha Tamader Al-Thani. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Qatar Chamber and the Federation's General Secretariat, and coordinating efforts for upcoming GCC events. Both parties stressed the importance of unifying initiatives and aligning activities, whether hosted in Qatar or other member states.

The meeting also explored ways to enhance collaboration between ICC Qatar and the General Secretariat of the Federation of GCC Chambers. Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi mentioned that his visit to Qatar Chamber is part of a tour to meet with heads of Gulf chambers, aiming to reinforce relations between the Federation's General Secretariat and its member chambers.

He further noted that ongoing coordination and collaboration are crucial to addressing relevant issues and overcoming challenges that may hinder private sector cooperation among GCC states.
