Qatar Chamber Engages with South Africa’s Al-Minara Chamber for Trade Enhancement

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) and South Africa's Al-Minara Chamber have entered discussions to explore bilateral cooperation, focusing on strengthening trade and economic relations between the two nations. The meeting aimed at promoting trade exchange and enhancing the cooperation between the chambers.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting involved QC Acting Director General Ali Bu Shrabak Al Mansori and Ebrahim Patel, President of the Al-Minara Chamber of Commerce and Industry in South Africa. Al-Minara Chamber represents the commercial interests of the Muslim community in South Africa's economy.

Al Mansori emphasized QC's commitment to fostering collaboration, welcoming South African investors and businesspeople. He urged Qatari entrepreneurs to consider investment opportunities in South Africa. The trade exchange between Qatar and South Africa reached approximately QAR 628 million last year, highlighting South Africa's role as a significant trade partner.

Ebrahim Patel expressed his intent to bolster cooperation with Qatar Chamber, aiming to increase bilateral trade and stimulate mutual investments. He noted that the Al-Minara Chamber, established 25 years ago, aims to support and empower businesses within the Muslim community and integrate them with South Africa's formal market.
