Doha: HE Second Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba met with HE Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to the State of Qatar Paulo Neves Pocinho at the Chamber's headquarters.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in trade and economic fields. The discussions emphasized the role of the Qatari private sector in promoting trade exchange between Qatar and Portugal.
HE Al Athba expressed Qatar Chamber's willingness to collaborate with Portugal to further develop trade and investment relations. He highlighted that the trade exchange between the two countries amounted to approximately QR 441 million in 2024, indicating a mutual interest in boosting investments and bilateral trade.
Al Athba also mentioned his recent visit to Portugal, where he engaged with officials from the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency and the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the visit, an agreement was made to conduct a Qatari-Portuguese business meeting via video conference to explore investment opportunities and enhance cooperation between the business communities of both nations.
