Doha: HE Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with Qatar Chamber Board Member Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Obaidli to discuss enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of both countries, focusing on strengthening trade and economic relations in the technology sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also reviewed the investment climate, highlighting the promising opportunities available in both Qatar and Uzbekistan. Al Obaidli praised the growing relations between the two countries across various fields, emphasizing the strong ties between their private sectors and the ongoing communication and coordination between Qatar Chamber and Uzbekistan's trade and investment authorities.
Al Obaidli affirmed the keen interest of Qatari businessmen in investing in modern technologies, particularly in areas such as money exchange, banking, payment systems, business services, and smart device application technologies. He stressed that Qatar Chamber supports the establishment of joint ventures between Qatari and Uzbek companies and encouraged Uzbek investors to explore opportunities in Qatar, citing the favorable investment climate, incentives for foreign investors, and the country's advanced infrastructure.
HE Minister Laziz Kudratov expressed Uzbekistan's keen interest in strengthening trade relations with the Qatari private sector, noting the wide range of areas for potential joint projects. He underscored the importance of organizing joint events to explore opportunities for trade and economic cooperation between the private sectors of both nations.
