Qatar Chamber Forms Sub-Committee for Travel and Tourism Agencies

Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) announced the formation of a Sub-committee for Travel and Tourism Agencies, operating under its main Tourism and Exhibitions Committee. This development was unveiled during a meeting of QC's Tourism and Exhibitions Committee, led by HE Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Committee, Sheikh Hamad bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al-Thani, with other committee members in attendance.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sub-committee is tasked with addressing the key challenges facing travel and tourism agencies. It will work closely with the main Tourism and Exhibitions Committee to resolve obstacles and gather insights from travel and tourism agency owners on strategies to develop the tourism sector.

During the meeting, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al-Thani emphasized that the sub-committee's formation aims to overcome difficulties faced by travel and tourism agencies. He highlighted the importance of coordinating with relevant authorities in Qatar through QC to address these challenges. The sub-committee is expected to serve as a unified platform for coordination and cooperation among travel and tourism agencies, which will streamline the main committee's efforts in identifying proposals to be presented to the relevant authorities. QC is committed to supporting the private tourism sector and enhancing its role in developing the tourism sector and improving the efficiency of tourism services in Qatar.
