Doha: Qatar Charity, in partnership with the Yemen Humanitarian Fund of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), distributed medicines to a number of health facilities in rural areas in the Yemeni governorates of Hodeidah and Hajjah, as part of a project to improve the health status of displaced persons and families suffering from a lack of medical services. The project aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced people and poor families in rural areas and provide them with medicines and medical services, given their high costs and difficulty in accessing them. The project contributed to providing medicines, training health personnel, and enhancing health services by equipping hospitals with modern medical devices and supporting them with all necessary medical requirements, which contributed to improving the quality of services provided, meeting the needs of the population, providing vaccines and essential medicines, in addition to providing doctors and supporting heal th sector workers with financial incentives to secure the needs of their families.
