Doha: Sheikha Aisha bint Hamad Al Attiya continuing the charitable efforts of the people of Qatar, field teams from Qatar Charity in Sudan distributed Ramadan food baskets to the mothers of orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity in Sheikha Aisha bint Hamad Al Attiya Model Orphans City, "Rafaqa," in the River Nile State. This distribution is part of the larger "Giving Lives On" campaign, which is being carried out across 40 countries worldwide.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Minister of Social Affairs for River Nile State, Dr. Tahani Mirghani, expressed her deep appreciation for the generous support provided by the people of Qatar for the Iftar project run by Qatar Charity. This initiative delivers essential food supplies to assist those fasting during Ramadan. The project focuses on supporting vulnerable families, orphans, and widows.
The Iftar project, which Qatar Charity has been running in Sudan for nearly three decades, aims to distribute Ramadan food baskets to 14,280 beneficiaries this season. This includes families of sponsored and unsponsored orphans, displaced families, and others in need due to the ongoing conflict. Today's distribution benefited mothers of orphans in Sheikha Aisha bint Hamad Al-Attiya City, located in the Damer area of River Nile State.
