Qatar Charity Unveils Identity of Humanitarian Impact Forum 2025

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC), in collaboration with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), has unveiled the identity of the "Humanitarian Impact Forum 2025." This announcement was made by HE Chairman of Qatar Charity Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. The unveiling event was attended by several ministers, representatives of international organizations, civil society organizations, and research centers in Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, this ceremony marked the official introduction of an annual event that aims to be a transformative platform for addressing critical gaps in humanitarian coordination, driving innovation, and fostering sustainable solutions. The forum's annual event for 2025 is expected to take place in the last quarter of the year. The forum is designed to gather key stakeholders from the humanitarian and development sectors to discuss global humanitarian challenges, explore collaborative approaches, and set the stage for future initiatives. The collaboration between Qatar Charity and OCHA is expected to strengthen humanitarian systems and create impactful, people-centered solutions.

In her opening remarks, HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to supporting international efforts and humanitarian diplomacy. She emphasized the importance of providing sustainable and effective solutions to ensure aid reaches those who need it. She also highlighted the role of Qatari humanitarian diplomacy in extending support to all of humanity, expressing appreciation for the partnership between Qatar Charity and OCHA.

CEO of Qatar Charity, Yousuf bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, expressed anticipation of the forum's potential to enhance effective humanitarian action. He highlighted the commitment of Qatari humanitarian organizations to support the transition towards a more effective humanitarian response. Al Kuwari emphasized the forum's focus on adopting measurable outcomes as performance benchmarks, enhancing accountability, and ensuring sustainability in humanitarian solutions.

Dr. Ahmed Marii, Representative of OCHA in Doha, stressed the importance of innovative and collaborative solutions in complex political landscapes. He praised the partnership with Qatar Charity in addressing humanitarian access challenges and upholding humanitarian principles. The launch event featured three panel discussions on humanitarian action, involving experts, researchers, and officials from UN and international humanitarian organizations, with sessions focusing on humanitarian impact, collaborative solutions, and innovative solutions for food security and sustainability.
