Qatar Concludes National Coding and AI Olympiad

Qatar: Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has concluded the third edition of the National Olympiad for Programming, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, following three days of competition involving 468 students. The event, organized by the ministry's Educational Guidance Department, brought together students from different education levels and was attended by ministry officials, school leaders, teachers, and parents.

According to Qatar News Agency, Director of the Educational Guidance Department, Maryam Nouman Al Emadi, stated that the Olympiad reflected the ministry's 2024-2030 strategy to empower learners for a sustainable future and to build an innovative education system in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. She praised the level of technical awareness and competitiveness shown by participants, noting that this year's event was expanded to include primary and preparatory school students.

Awards were presented across various advanced technology fields, including artificial intelligence projects in computer vision, machine learning, and embedded systems, as well as competitions in coding, databases, computer networks, and mobile applications. The Olympiad also featured 3D design and programming using Minecraft and data visualization, highlighting its role in nurturing technical skills and preparing students for the demands of the digital economy.
