Doha: The State of Qatar has expressed its condemnation of the horrific violations committed during attacks by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State in the Republic of Sudan.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed Qatar's deep concern over the tragic humanitarian situation in El Fasher, stressing the urgent need for the Rapid Support Forces to fulfill their responsibility in protecting civilians, ensuring the safe delivery of humanitarian aid, and adhering to international humanitarian law as outlined in the Jeddah Declaration.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's position advocating for the resolution of the armed conflict in Sudan through dialogue and peaceful means. It also reiterated its unwavering support for the unity, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, rejecting any form of interference in its internal affairs, and backing the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, development, and prosperity.
