National Cyber Security Agency organized yesterday Qatar Cyberspace Compliance and Assurance Conference, in the presence of HE Mr. Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, and with the participation of local and external entities.
The conference sheds light on the compliance, assurance, and accreditation system for cybersecurity service providers in the State, as well as evaluating and issuing software and hardware evaluation certificates after examining them in accredited international or national laboratories.
HE Mr. Engineer Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki, President of National Cyber Security Agency said in a statement that cybersecurity is regarded as an essential pillar of continuity and assurance with regard to technological infrastructure at all levels and in all sectors.
HE affirmed that the State of Qatar has witnessed in the past decade a great development in the cybersecurity scene, since it has sought, from its various entities, to work on raising the readiness of institutions to confront cyber-attacks, and raising the level of awareness about the various threats.
