Qatar Engages in 8th Abu Dhabi Dialogue Ministerial Consultation

Abu dhabi: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Labour, participated today in the opening of the 8th Abu Dhabi Dialogue Ministerial Consultation. This event brings together labour-sending and labour-receiving countries from Asia and the Gulf, along with international organizations, in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Al Marri. The Abu Dhabi Dialogue serves as a voluntary consultative platform that facilitates dialogue between countries involved in the exchange of temporary labour. It aims to foster the exchange of best practices, strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation, and develop partnerships to support the orderly and fair management of labour mobility.

The Dialogue seeks to ensure mutual benefits for workers, employers, and the economies of both sending and receiving countries. It focuses on promoting sustainable, equitable, and well-regulated labour flows. Established in 2008, the United Arab Emirates hosts the permanent secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue.
