Dubai: The State of Qatar participated in a high-level closed session titled "Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Enhancing National Readiness" during the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai. The session underscored Qatar's commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into national strategies.
According to Qatar News Agency, the State of Qatar was represented by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. The session focused on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in productive sectors globally and particularly in the Middle East and North Africa. It explored regional cooperation opportunities to optimize the benefits of AI technologies.
Discussions also included public policy priorities essential for establishing an effective innovation ecosystem and closing the digital divide. The session highlighted the impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets and stressed the importance of equipping the workforce with necessary education and skills. Moreover, it examined the role of fiscal policies in reducing risks associated with AI adoption in the financial sector.
