Cairo: The State of Qatar took part in the inaugural Arab Regional Forum on Early Warning Systems and Disaster Preparedness, convened at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Egypt. The forum aimed at fostering collaboration among Arab nations to enhance readiness and share expertise and effective practices in early warning and risk management.
According to Qatar News Agency, the delegation from Qatar was led by Director-General of Civil Defense Major-General Hamad Othman Al Dehaimi. It included representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and the General Civil Aviation Authority. The participation underscored Qatar's commitment to regional cooperation in disaster preparedness and its proactive approach in addressing potential risks and emergencies.
