Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in the meetings of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, held at the Arab League's General Secretariat headquarters, running for two days. This involvement reflects Qatar's commitment to fostering Arab cooperation in housing, reconstruction, and sustainable urban development, and serves as preparation for the upcoming 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, scheduled to be hosted in Doha from December 14 to 16.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, led Qatar's delegation at these meetings. Qatar's participation also extended to the 71st meeting of the technical scientific advisory committee, which took place from October 19 to 21.
Qatar's engagement in these meetings aids in the exchange of expertise and discussion of agendas aimed at enhancing Arab cooperation in the housing sector. It also focuses on developing joint action mechanisms to tackle challenges faced by Arab countries in this critical sector.
These meetings provided Qatar with an opportunity to highlight its preparations for hosting the 6th Arab Ministerial Forum on Housing and Urban Development in 2025. This forum will coincide with the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, further emphasizing Qatar's role in promoting regional collaboration in housing and urban development.
