Cairo: The State of Qatar participated in an event organized by the Arab League's General Secretariat at its headquarters in Cairo, to celebrate World Arabic Language Day. The Qatari delegation was headed by First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the Arab League, Dr. Essa Salem Al Kuwari.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event featured ambassadors and representatives of accredited foreign diplomatic missions, along with prominent religious and cultural figures. It emphasized the significance of the Arabic language as a historical legacy, a living communication tool, and a form of soft power that can assimilate multiple cultures and foster understanding between peoples.
The celebration focused on the future of the Arabic language, discussing the landscape of Arabic language education in universities and international centers. It also addressed the main challenges non-native Arabic learners face and explored solutions, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in promoting and facilitating Arabic learning.
