Kuwait city: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), took part in the Fifth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), held in the State of Kuwait. The assembly, themed "Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of AI", saw participation from ministers and digital economy leaders, along with policymakers and representatives from both the public and private sectors across more than 60 countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by Reem Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT. During the General Assembly, participants addressed strategic issues concerning the future of the digital economy and the expansion of digital inclusion. Discussions also focused on ways to develop coordinated policies that support digital transformation pathways and enhance cooperation among member states in digital innovation and capacity building.
In conjunction with the assembly, the second edition of the International Digital Cooperation Forum (IDCF) took place, attracting regional and international participants. The forum featured a program of panel discussions and workshops on key topics such as digital trade, technology use ethics, digital skills sharing, and sustainable digital transformation.
