Qatar Engages in GCC Summit to Shape Future of Retirement and Insurance Systems

Riyadh: The State of Qatar, represented by the General Authority for Retirement and Social Insurance (Daman), is set to participate in an extraordinary meeting of the Committee of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday in Riyadh.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation will be led by HE Director General of Daman, Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi. The primary agenda for this extraordinary meeting is to discuss and adopt the action plan for the Committee of Heads for the period 2026-2030.

The action plan is designed to enhance coordination and institutional integration among the GCC agencies. It aims to support the sustainability of their systems and develop joint work mechanisms to better protect the retirement and insurance rights of GCC citizens.

Daman's participation underscores its active role in the joint Gulf action system and its commitment to shaping future strategic directions of civil retirement and social insurance systems. This involvement is intended to enhance social and economic stability and support sustainable development in GCC countries.
