Vienna: The State of Qatar is actively participating in the Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology and its Applications, hosted in Vienna, Austria. Qatar's delegation is spearheaded by HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie. According to Qatar News Agency, during the opening of the three-day conference, HE the Minister emphasized Qatar's commitment to supporting the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in its initiatives aimed at addressing environmental challenges that pose risks to sustainable development globally. His Excellency pointed out various collaborative efforts between Qatar and the IAEA, focusing on environmental protection, radiation safety, health, and the enhancement of national expertise in nuclear security and safety. On the margins of the conference, HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie engaged in discussions with HE Director General of the IAEA Rafael Mariano Grossi. The dialogue centered on strateg ies to strengthen and expand mutual cooperation. The ministerial conference is dedicated to exploring the future of nuclear science and technology through the IAEA's Technical Cooperation Program, highlighting the role of nuclear science in addressing some of the most critical challenges faced worldwide.
