Qatar Engages in International Dialogue on Social Justice at Armenia Conference.

Yerevan: The State of Qatar's Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) actively participated in the 'Road to Social Justice: Decent Work' conference held in the Republic of Armenia. Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin, the Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs, led Qatar's delegation at the event. According to Qatar News Agency, the conference brought together representatives from governments, employers, and unions to discuss key policies and legislation aimed at ensuring labor rights and advancing social justice. The discussions focused on providing better wages, improving working conditions, and enhancing social and health protection for workers, essential components in achieving social justice. Additionally, the conference agenda addressed global commitments to balancing work conditions with workers' fundamental rights. Panels held on the sidelines covered a range of topics, including child labor and education, responses to labor market challenges, women's economic empowerment, and the ro le of social justice in the independent business economy, commonly known as the gig economy. The event also featured an awards ceremony recognizing the contributions of social workers, underscoring the importance of their role in promoting social justice.
