Qatar Engages in Strategic Housing Discussions at GCC Ministers Meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait City: The State of Qatar actively participated in the 23rd meeting of ministers responsible for housing affairs from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which convened on Thursday morning in Kuwait. Her Excellency Minister of Social Development and Family, Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, led Qatar's delegation at the meeting.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event coincided with the second GCC Housing Week themed "Sustainable Real Estate Development." This platform was pivotal for fostering cooperation and sharing expertise in housing and urban development across GCC nations. Attendees included GCC housing ministers and officials, who deliberated on strategic policies aimed at enhancing housing development and bolstering Gulf integration in this critical sector. The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to exchange best practices and showcase pioneering initiatives from member states.

In addition to the collective discussions, HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi engaged in bilateral meetings with Oman's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, and Kuwait's Minister of State for Municipality Affairs and Housing, Abdul Latif Hamid Al Mashari. These discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in housing and underscored the significance of sustained Gulf coordination and integration.
