Nagoya: Qatar's international referee Abdullah Ali Al Mutawa Al Hammadi participated in the first meeting of technical delegates for the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Japan in September and October 2026. The Games will include 41 sports, 66 competitions, and 456 events.
According to Qatar News Agency, technical delegates from various Asian countries attended the three-day meeting in Nagoya, Japan. The discussions focused on technical and organizational regulations concerning the upcoming Asian Games. Key topics included the sports program, competition schedule, venues for competition and training, sports broadcasting, performances, participation, equipment, and technical referee services. The delegates also conducted field visits to competition venues to evaluate their readiness.
In his remarks to Qatar News Agency, Al Hammadi expressed his satisfaction with being invited to the meeting as a technical delegate from Qatar, appointed by the Asian Shooting Federation for the shotgun event. He emphasized his appreciation for the confidence shown in Qatari cadres, highlighting their representation in various international events.
Al Hammadi holds multiple roles in the shooting sports community, including international shooting instructor and referee. He is a member of the Qatar Shooting Federation, Chairman of the Technical and Referees Committee of the Asian Shooting Federation, and an accredited instructor of the International Federation. His extensive experience includes appointments as a technical delegate for world championships and world cups under the International Shooting Sport Federation across shotgun, pistol, and rifle disciplines.
